You are worthless. Just thought I'd let you know.

This past week I've been having dreams that are basically just like everyday life.

I mean... I check facebook in these dreams. They're relatively boring.

But in each one I have had a loved one tell me something to cut me down and make me feel like useless shit.
Examples: my boyfriend telling me he thinks I'm an idiot. My father telling me that one of my paintings sucks. My sister telling me that I'm ugly (haha). My brother saying that the music I make is awful.

These are all the complete opposite of what they generally have to say to me in reality.... and I wonder if I'm just paranoid that they're all lying to me?

Who knows.... but it's been strange. I can't wait for some new insult tonight XP

i'd say the dreams are not reflections of truth, but a bit of insecurity

Dreams are often the "refuse" of the brain. This doesn't mean that what goes through your head at night is invaluable to you, but it is usually things that have been on our mind recently and the brain is just clearing out the clutter of tomorrow. Things that we dwell on frequently can dominate our dreams as a result. I would never say that dreams are meaningless, but more often the are an interpretation of our deepest thoughts, hopes, and fears. If what you are dreaming is a contradiction to reality I would interpret it as either a hope or a fear (basically something that is not true "yet", but you want it to be true, or are desperately afraid of it being true). In your case I think you dwell (consciously or subconsciously) on a fear of rejection by those closest to you. I would reccommend that you stop worrying about what anyone else things about your beauty, your art, your music, or whatever it is that makes you who you are. Be proud to be you and to hell with what anyone else might thing!

i agree with an0n.
dreams are our subconscious mind playing out your fears/desires.

Dreams can be pretty nasty. I know all this too well. I personally think that it gives a small preminition or a detail of what's going on in your life (that's happened to me more than once). But if these people aren't so mean to you in real life, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
