Depends on the situation. In a formal or business situation, where it was impossible for your gaffe to go unnoticed? Yes, say something. Otherwise, do whatever's comfortable. Pass the blame, ignore it, or whatever.

the natural thing to do is say excuse me because you know farting is natural and everybody has to do it once in a while
