I think I would go with deaf. I think it would be much easier to cope with and continue your life with any sense of normalcy.

i would choose to be blind.cuz then u cant hear anything. without music,wats the point of living.there are doctors that can get ur sight back.anyways if ur deaf u cant talk either

This isn't an easy question. Being deaf presents a language barrier to most of the world. Blind on the other hand is quite difficult to live with as well. For one thing, it makes transportation more difficult. I have wanted to be an interpreter for the Deaf and my boyfriend is legally blind, so I can understand both points rather well. In either position, I would learn to cope and live well. I am glad though that I have been given neither challenge at this time.

Deaf. "A picture says a thousand words." You can see the beauty in peoples facial expressions, which can "say" alot about someones intentions. You would be able to learn ASL and be capable of writing. You can still feel the beat of music, look into your wife's beautiful eyes, watch your children grow up, see flowers blloming, and watch a NASA rocket launch into space. We are visually oriented creatures, through evolution (yes I'm going there) humans have had to rely more on sight than our ability to hear.

i would rather be deaf, i love just absorbing the sights around me and i cant do that if i cant see.. i think that vision is a great advantage to take on the world with and i show great sympathy for those without it.

Definitely deaf. I'm a visual artist! I'd miss music SO MUCH, but you can still feel musical vibrations. I can't do without visuals.

I rather be deaf because sight is really hard to replace. I could just communicate by writing notes, sending letters, send e-mails, sign language and lip read.See what you can do when you are deaf!
