dropped a loud f-bomb at lunch today, and then saw (when the guy across table from me pointed it out) the family with kids right behind me... and yeah, they gave me the eye.
and i deserved it. 9 hours later, it still bothers me a lot

If it makes you feel better, with the way public schools are I'm sure those kids have heard that and worse already.

Cuss words are tossed about a little too casually nowadays. At least you recognize the fact that you should not have said that, especially in front of kids. To be honest, it should bother you. Some words just aren't meant for polite company. I wouldn't let it get you too down, though, just keep this incidence in mind as a future reference to be aware of what comes out of your mouth. You never know who might be listening in.

Its good that you're sensitive to the feelings of others but you're carrying it to an extreme in your self-recrimination. Learn from your mistake and try to do better in the future. The past is over. You can't retract what happened. Start a new and better future right now with a clean slate and try thinking over every sentence before you let it out of your mouth, at least until using foul language is no longer automatic.
