I'm 55, & my 84 yo mother just told me I had a half brother, who is 4 years older than I am. She lived in Victorville at the time, & he (a piolet), was shipping out the next day. She moved to L.A., when she found out she was pregnant. She lived in a home for unwed mothers. The woman that ran the place was running a Black Market baby ring. An undercover officer, who was pregnant, took my mom out to dinner & pumped her for info. My mom had to testify at the trial. I don't know how I can find my brother. I hope he's not dead. How can I find my half brother when I don't have alot of money? What's your advise?

I know this may seem far fetched, but there is a show that I watch on TV. It's called "The Locator". It's on WEtv here in Florida, and Im sure you could go on their website. From what I have seen, there are all types of families that this man helps, and not many of them seem to have a whole lot of money. It's never too late, to either find your brother, or to at least have some type of closure.
On another note, as hard as it is not to be mad at your mother, try to understand her reasons for doing what she did, and keep her close to your heart.... life is short, and these are the years that we count the days...

Dear Lauren, Hello! Thanks for the info. Actually, I saw the Locator on Dr. Phil. I was watching when my mom called with her 'news.' She wanted me to get the info. at the end of his show. Dr. Phil comes on an hour earlier where she lives. I asked her why she was interested in that kind of info & that's when she told me the news about my half brother. I was never mad at her, just really surprised that she didn't trust me enough after all of this time with the info. She said she was ashamed. I just think that she should've known that I'm not the kind of person that would've judged her. I don't understand how she could've held onto that kind of secret after all of these years.
