Split up with my boyfriend who I had been seeing for a year and a half recently, met someone else and it did not work out. Ex boyfriend keeps chatting to me and wants me back, and when I saw him it was nice to see him, but dont know if I should go back with him, my head is all over the place.

Sleeping with a man creates a bond and an attachment and it is easy to rekindle it and go back to where you were.
Just from the tone of your note - my advice is for you to move on. You have nothing positive that you wrote about this guy - clearly it was not up front in your mind. Move on.
