I need to know a polite and appropriate way to ask my bf who is a guy out. Can a guy please tell me how u would like to be asked out!

commented on several like this -- i think (as an old guy) ask him to do something safe, but obvious in a way -- like go to an art fair, costco, etc. that way you up the stakes a little and he can too without it feeling risky

Just ask him flat-out if he has ever thought of you as anything other than just a friend? If he says 'No'. Then, with a look of total sorrow, fling yourself on him, and sob "WHY?!!!!!" "I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD SAY YES"! Seriously, humor goes a long way to keeping a serious situation less intimidating.

Go figure, a girl wondering how to ask a guy out. First find out if he's gay. If not, then forget him. Friendship between a man and a woman only exists if one of them isn't interested in the other. He's either not attracted to you at all, or he's gay.

Do it one on one, and face to face. Look him in the eye and keep your voice steady, but know that it's not the biggest thing in the world (ie don't take either of you too seriously).

The main thing I would say is if you do this, you must be willing to lose him as a friend. Period.
