The world is an interesting place, full of people trying to get what they want. But sometimes, the world itself can prevent people from getting those things.
This can manifest itself in so many ways, from a long-term virgin looking for a hint of tenderness, of passion... of the feeling of his lips against a girl's skin... to a long-term partner being unfulfilled by their relationship and seeking passion in the wrong places.
There are dreams that cannot be voiced. There are thoughts that cannot be heard, because it is socially unacceptable to say them. There are times when a man dreams of telling a woman of how he longs to be with her, even though they may only be friends... there are times when he feels so tempted to tell her, if only to see her reaction.
There are age gaps, distance gaps, knowledge gaps... fears... and when you become so enraptured in these notions, there are times when you just want your carnal instincts to take over...
But you can't. Not in this world. Not if you care about your friends and their feelings, not if you care about being considered sane and normal. So you go back to work, pretend it isn't there, take your dreams on walks from time to time... and it may be a very long time until something happens to make you realise how long these dreams have been hiding inside you. And they all come flooding out again.
